Äänen Lumo - Festival for New Sounds concentrates on art with a voice, be it in the form of, say, music, installation or performance. The festival is organised for the first time this year, by non-profit organisation of the same name, Äänen Lumo. As they say, there's a first time for everything.
A good deal of the programme has been confirmed, which can be explored on the artist and events pages. The festival takes place in Helsinki, Finland, between 8 and 14 November, at various venues. Two concerts are held at Kiasma theatre, and two more at Kokoteatteri (theater) and Myllysali (in Suomenlinna) respectively. There will be works on display in Kiasma museum's Mediateekki space until 2 January 2011.
